In short. A complete Unitree humanoid, that walks on its own legs, costs from €9,210.01 (R1 Basic) to €278,485.58 (H2 Plus Ultimate N), excluding VAT. The torso versions without legs start at €6,696.77. What sets the price is size, degrees of freedom, hands and the possibility of secondary development. No humanoid on the price list is a domestic robot.
The price of a humanoid robot in 2026 depends on what you mean by "humanoid". On the public price list of the Unitree range the lowest value is €6,696.77 (R1-A5 Standard, a torso with arms and head, external power, about 11 kg) and the highest is €278,485.58 (H2 Plus Ultimate N). If you are looking for a robot that walks, the entry point is the R1 Basic at €9,210.01. All prices are excluding VAT. Shipping and insurance to the UK are not included in the list price and are quoted in the offer; import VAT and duty apply as described on our UK page.
Humanoid robot price by family
The bands below show the cheapest and the most expensive configuration of each family on the public price list.
| Family | Type | From | To | What it's for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| R1 | Biped, 123 cm | €9,210.01 | €35,027.63 | Education, first projects, development on EDU |
| G1 | Biped, 132 cm | €19,809.32 | €96,627.00 | Research, locomotion, PoC |
| H2 | Biped, about 182 cm | €43,873.96 | €278,485.58 | Full-size, advanced R&D |
| G1-D | Dual-arm torso, without legs | €38,004.54 | €74,460.55 | Manipulation on a stand or mobile base |
There are also the torso versions, useful when the robot has to work stationary: the R1-A5 Standard torso at €6,696.77, the dual-arm R1-D at €12,000 and the H2-A Standard A, an entry-level torso-only H2 configuration, at €37,620.53. The full range is on the humanoids page.
What changes between one band and another
The R1 is the entry point of the range. According to the official Unitree spec sheet it is 123 cm tall and weighs about 29 kg (27 kg for the Air), with 20 degrees of freedom in the Air, 26 in the base version and from 26 to 40 in the EDU. Secondary development and the optional computing module (for example the Orin from 40 to 100 TOPS) are only available on the R1 EDU. It is the choice for anyone on a limited budget who wants to start with courses and first tests.
The G1 measures 132 cm, weighs about 35 kg and goes from 23 to 43 degrees of freedom according to the Unitree G1 spec sheet. The real difference between the base G1 and the G1 EDU is secondary development, absent in the first and present in the second, along with knee torque, arm payload and warranty. The detail between Air, EDU and G1-D is in which G1 to choose.
The G1-D has no legs: it is a torso with two 7-axis arms on a fixed stand (Standard) or on a wheeled mobile base (Flagship). It is for when the task is manipulating objects on a workbench, not walking.
The H2 is the full-size humanoid: about 182 cm and 70 kg, 31 degrees of freedom and up to 360 N·m of torque at the leg joints. Watch the equipment. According to the Unitree H2 page, as standard there is only the PC1 Intel Core i5 (platform functions). The Intel Core i7 (PC2, custom development), the dexterous hands and secondary development are on the H2 EDU, which also has a 12-month warranty instead of 8. The price list also includes an optional computing board, the H2 Jetson AGX Thor Computing Board at €17,608.28.

Is there a humanoid robot for the home?
The humanoids on our price list are not domestic robots: the R1, G1, G1-D and H2 are built for companies, universities and laboratories, and require someone to set them up and supervise them. The models presented "for the home" today are preorders not available in the UK, or promises.
1X NEO. On the official 1X website the NEO can be pre-ordered with a refundable deposit of $200. The order page shows $20,000 to buy in Early Access, or a subscription of $499 a month, with deliveries in the United States starting from 2026. There is no offer for the UK.
Tesla Optimus. No published price, no active sale. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, in January 2026, Elon Musk said he expects Tesla to sell humanoid robots to the public by the end of 2027, as reported by Fox Business. It is a prediction, not a product you can order.
What is the most advanced humanoid robot?
Among those you can buy from the price list, the largest and most powerful is the H2. But "most advanced" does not mean "right for the project": a lab studying locomotion often starts better with a G1 EDU, and anyone who needs to manipulate at a workbench finds a G1-D more useful. The point-by-point comparison is in the humanoid comparison 2026; to understand whether a humanoid makes sense in a company before buying one, there is the guide to a PoC with a humanoid robot.
What to consider beyond the price
- Secondary development. On the R1, G1 and H2 you need an EDU version to run your own code. The base versions use Unitree's software.
- Hands. They are the item that raises the price the most. If the project is not about grasping, it is worth starting without them.
- Accessories. Spare batteries, protective frame and computing modules have their own list prices.
- Financing. Before the quote we can prepare the technical documentation for your claim or application under UK schemes such as capital allowances and R&D tax relief: the details are in the UK incentives page.
