Before ordering a Go2 EDU you need two answers: what is inside compared with the Air and Pro, and which of the four configurations to buy. The data comes from the official Unitree specifications table and the public Abra Robotics price list.
What the Go2 EDU includes
The EDU column of the Unitree Go2 specifications table shows what sets the EDU apart from the Air and Pro versions:
- 15000 mAh long-endurance battery, with a stated run time of 2-4 hours (the Air and Pro have 8000 mAh, 1-2 hours).
- Fast 33.6 V 9 A charger, instead of the standard 33.6 V 3.5 A one.
- Depth camera included.
- Foot force sensors: the only Go2 version that has them.
- Remote control included (optional on the Air and Pro).
- Full SDK access, with a high-performance 8-core CPU and the option to fit an additional computing module (Unitree gives a 40-100 TOPS Orin as an example).
Everything else is shared by the whole Go2 family: a body of about 15 kg with battery, 70 × 31 × 40 cm standing, and the 4D LiDAR L2 with a 360° × 96° hemispherical field of view and a minimum detection distance of 0.05 m. A payload of about 8 kg (maximum about 12 kg), speed of 0-3.7 m/s (maximum about 5 m/s), a maximum slope of 40° and a 12-month warranty are the EDU figures; the Air stays more limited (payload about 7 kg, 0-2.5 m/s, 30° slope, 6-month warranty).

The public Abra Robotics price list offers the EDU in four configurations. Prices exclude VAT; shipping and insurance are quoted in the offer.

The names "Plus" and "Ultimate" come from the Abra price list: they describe the EDU with an additional 3D LiDAR, not versions with different features from the manufacturer. Always confirm the exact equipment on the product page or in the quote.
What is the difference between the Go2 EDU Standard and the Go2 EDU Smart?
The difference is the computing module. The EDU Standard has an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8GB with 40 TOPS; the EDU Smart a Jetson Orin NX 16GB with 100 TOPS. The body, the 15000 mAh battery, the 4D LiDAR L2 and the force sensors stay the same. The Smart is the one to choose when heavier neural networks, vision or reinforcement learning policies have to run on board.
The LiDAR versions: Plus (Livox Mid-360) and Ultimate (Hesai XT16)
The LiDAR configurations start from the Smart's computing (Orin NX 100 TOPS) and add a 3D sensor for mapping. The EDU Plus carries the Livox Mid-360 for SLAM and navigation; the EDU Ultimate carries the Hesai XT16. Both include the RealSense D435i depth camera. The Livox Mid-360 kit sold separately costs €4,402, exactly the difference between the Smart and the Plus. The Hesai XT16 kit costs €6,603, so the Ultimate costs €591 less than a Smart with the kit added separately.
SDK and development: how to program the Go2 EDU
Programming with the SDK is the reason to buy the EDU. Unitree publishes two official tools. unitree_sdk2 is the C++ SDK, with examples ready to compile. unitree_ros2 exposes the robot's messages as ROS 2 topics via CycloneDDS, and its README lists support for Go2, B2 and H1, with Ubuntu 22.04 + ROS 2 Humble recommended and Ubuntu 20.04 + Foxy tested. Go2 EDU or another version?
